Dad to the Bone: Zach Franklin
Zach Franklin: A fitness Dad to the bone and all around amazing dude.
Dadhood is the best and good fathers deserve to be highlighted. This is a new feature at The Bad Dads Club called - Dad to the bone where we feature some of the coolest Dads we know. We ask them a few fun questions and let them take it away from there. Welcome to The Bad Dads Club - Zach Franklin.
Please tell us a bit about who you are?
Zach Franklin: Me, two kids, and one wife. My kids - Miles(5) and Theo(3) are intellectually advanced, and more athletic than your child. I didn't learn to swim until I was 22 because I was allergic to chlorine. My closet is stacked with vintage FUBU gear. I'm really into good doughnuts, shout-out to Sidecar Doughnuts for keeping it 100. Believe or not health and fitness are my passion. I love helping people achieve their goals.
How long have you been a Dad?
ZF: A little over 5 years.
Were or are you a baby wearing Dad?
ZF: Yes
What is a fun thing that you did with your kids this week?
ZF: My boys and I are donut connoisseurs, so naturally the highlight of our week was the chocolate glazed cake donut topped with an egregious amount of sprinkles.
On a scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate your diaper changing ability?
ZF: I text my wife for directions every time.
What is your go to in a tantrum emergency?
ZF: I pull out all the stops. I just keep listing stuff until it stops.
What's the last movie you watched with your kids?
ZF: Ninja Turtles (for the 1,000th time)
What's your kid's favorite word?
ZF: Let's just leave it at bodily functions and or human anatomy.
The last book you read with your kids?
ZF: Do Instagram stories count?
Favorite adult beverage?
ZF: Tequila
Favorite Skate Video part and/or Disney Princess?
ZF: When the guy flies over Theo's head at the Venice Skatepark.
What makes you a "Bad Dad" (This is a good thing... AKA Way too awesome compared to everyone else)?
ZF: I think I am a Bad Dad because I keep it real with my kids. The reality is I don't always have the answer or know "why." The times when I tell my kids that I don't know shows them that we are all human. Sometimes the best answer is not having an answer.
